Perthshire Highlights Trail

If you want to see the best of Perthshire and wish to take a break from driving your classic car every now and again this is the ideal driving route for you. From Perth head west to Crieff (Stuart Crystal Factory Shop; Crieff Visitor Centre; The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery ? Scotland?s most visited). Head North via the Sma? Glen along the Perthshire Tourist Route to its end at Aberfeldy (Dewars World of Whisky, The Watermill) in deepest Highland Perthshire. Turn right towards Pitlochry (Distilleries; Dam & Fish Ladder; Heathergems Factory) and/or Blair Atholl (Blair Castle; Water Mill). Head over the hills in your classic car at Moulin via Strathardle (spectacular heather moorland) to Blairgowrie (Meikleour Beech Hedge). From there turn your classic car Westward to Dunkeld (Loch of the Lowes, Cathedral) and South back to Perth (Scone Palace, Caithness Glass Visitor Centre; Perth Mart Visitor Centre; Balhousie Castle;). Extensions to Auchterarder (Gleneagles Hotel) and Kinross (Loch Leven Castle; Kinross House Gardens) are also possible.
